MEDICINE WHEEL WORKSHOP
AT THE GATHERING INN

The Medicine Wheel, originating from Native American traditions, is also
referred to as Sacred Hoop. It represents the sacred circle of life. The Medicine Wheel is an outward manifestation of Spiritual energy. It is also a mirror in which we recognize those areas of our lives that are in need of returning to symmetry and balance and where we need to focus our attention in order to realize and become our highest selves. Working with a Medicine Wheel helps to bring clarity and new perspectives to all areas of our lives.
We will create a large outdoor Medicine Wheel using stones and other materials. As we build, we will be taught how to use the wheel to gather the surrounding energies and to commune with Spirit. We will learn about the four directions, the cycle of life, the cycles of the Moon, the colors, and the elements, which will teach us about our own individual life's path.
The day will consist of learning about Native American spirituality, creating the outdoor Medicine Wheel, a lunch of Bison burgers, Salmon patties, and roast corn on the cob, a time of drumming and flute playing, and a chance to make your own individual Medicine Wheel to take home.
The cost is $60 which includes lunch and all materials. Pre-registration is required. Please return the attached registration form and your payment no later than July 3, 2009.
